The Sky Hotel, Aspen’s chic slope side boutique hotel, a Kimpton Hotel property, today announced it would be adding the latest frills and essentials to its current hosts of in-room honor bar amenities.
Starting December 2005, each guest room in the 90-room ultra-hip boutique hotel will offer the new iHome™ (iH5) system technology to accompany its current complementary in-room technologies. The iHome (iH5) is an alarm clock system with an iPod™ docking station technology that "docks"(charges and plays music) off of an iPod (gen 3, gen 4, iPod mini™, iPod photo™ or other mp3 and audio devices with a patch cord). Guests can use it as a standard clock radio, or set it to fall sleep or wake up to their favorite iPod tunes. The system is "Made for iPod" and certified by Apple™.
Additionally, The Sky Hotel has partnered with Oxia™, the creator of the world’s smallest, lightest and most fashionable portable oxygen dispenser. Given Aspen’s altitude of 7,930 feet, the oxygen offers a plethora of health benefits and a quick and natural pick-me-up, perfect for those active and energy deprived guests. The sterilized dispensers can be rented for $14.95 per day or purchased to take on the slopes or on the town for $59.95.
Furthermore, The Sky Hotel can tickle more than their guest’s fancies with new furry handcuffs as part of the current host of in-room amenities. Guests can enjoy this new item along with the Kama Sutra Weekender Kit offered with the “Tease Me Please Me Romance Package” or as a special essential to be purchased through the hotel’s front desk.

Most recently, the hotel added California Folie a Deux 'Menage a Trois'™ white and red table wines delicately mixed with three blends of various grapes.
Like most hotels, The Sky Hotel offers in-room movies, video games and cordless phones, but in addition to its current technologies, The Sky Hotel began to offer an iPod music station in all of its suites in 2004. The iPods are pre-loaded with "hiptronica" music that is pre-selected and played throughout the hotel and lounge. Next to the iPod music station, guests will find an assortment of selected CDs that are "loaded" on the iPod station. If a guest enjoys the songs, they have the opportunity to purchase the CD by charging it to the room (similar to a minibar purchase). If a guest does not want to listen to the pre-selected music on the in-room iPods, the iHome system will dock their pre-loaded iPod or mP3 player.
