Leisure Tyme™ Adopts Bear Search and Rescue Foundation as Its “Worthy Cause” for 2005

LeisureTyme. net, LLC announced today that its’ primary “worthy cause” for 2005 will be The Bear Search and Rescue Foundation, established to raise money for search and rescue teams across the country in 2002 by the Prestigious law firm Proskauer Rose. The mission of the Foundation is to provide instruction in Emergency Management to Search and Rescue (SAR) Teams; equip SAR teams around the country; provide free air transportation to active missions and training where possible and to provide health care to all SAR K-9s that worked at Ground Zero and the Pentagon.

Mahopac, NY (PRWEB) January 19, 2005

Bear (an 11 year old Golden Retriever) and his dad, Captain Scott Shields, led the first search teams at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001. Bear was credited with finding the most victims and the only live finds by a dog at the WTC. He found FDNY Chief Peter Ganci and Fire Commissioner William Feehan. Each year, in September, Bear is honored at the “Bear Search and Rescue Service Dog Day” held at the Intrepid Se-Air-Space Museum in NYC.

LeisureTyme™ is and will continue to discuss feasible fundraising efforts and events with business owners and community leaders and members throughout the NY Tri-State area. Details of the first event (which will probably take place during the coming months in Mahopac, NY) will be announced as soon as they are available, followed by announcements of other fundraising events in the Hudson Valley, City Island and the Jersey and Connecticut Shores.

Wajda began working in illustration in 1994 for the Trenton Times, New Jersey's largest daily newspaper producing half and three quarter page full color illustrations. Wajda also produced humorous illustration for a wide array of business and organizations, from book illustration to safety and business cartoons. Gradually, developing websites and industrial design grew from the exposure of those first illustrations leading to the opening ofNorthPoint Studios in 2001. Northpoint Studios, Graphic Design and Illustration Studio was opened by Wajda as a vehicle to creating exposure and obtaining new clientele.

Wajda has won many awards and competitions for his graphic design, including designing the official seal for Bensalem Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania in a city wide juried exhibition. During that same time, Wajda's career path shifted from a primary focus on the industrial and graphic design arts to fine arts, where he started pursuing a path more geared to the exploration of color, form and the integration of design expressed in a variety of painting mediums. Wajda spent 4 years travelling extensively through Europe and the United States studying different artistic techniques and studying the works of the European and modern American masters. As his body of work grew, and due to the desire to retain licensing rights and artistic ownership of his work, Wajda founded NorthPoint Gallery to represent his own work to the art community in Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
