Twilighting: My Exploration of the Twilight Phenomenon, a new book by Emily Reynolds, has been released by RoseDog Books.
The Twilight saga has become recognized as a worldwide phenomenon. Just as the world was making this discovery, so was Emily Reynolds. What began as an idea for a research paper turned into her master’s thesis. Many wonder at the rapture of Twilighters, and the purpose of this work is to bring insight into the minds of Twilighters.
Reynolds traveled to many Twilight promotional events to observe, interview, and survey hundreds of Twilighters firsthand. This work shares highlights from her travels and, of course, reports what was seen, heard, and read directly from Twilighters. In this work, Reynolds discusses patterns of thought and behavior as well as levels of engagement.
Emily Reynolds grew up in Selah, Washington. She attended Brigham Young University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She received her B. A. in History and got a minor in TESOL.
