Tampa Businesses Find Benefits in Advertising at Airport

Local businesses seek opportunities to expand advertising in Tampa International Airport

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) August 31, 2010

Clear Channel Airport's (CCA) innovative advertising project in Tampa International Airport (TIA) is quickly gaining traction with local businesses. The exciting new options give these businesses more advertising opportunities in TIA than ever before. The first of the new contracts take effect in October.

“Clear Channel’s Airports new Digital Passenger Service System features technology that will give the Ramada Westshore Tampa Airport great placement enabling all travelers to view our hotel at a glance,” stated Bill Cole, CHA the General Manager of Ramada Tampa Westshore Inn & Conference Center.

To date, several local businesses have signed contracts to take advantage of this initiative. The use of multiple advertising methods within the airport is appealing to business owners in the area. These can include special signage options, ground-breaking new spaces in the airport to advertise, and the interactive kiosks that will service travelers while navigating the Tampa Bay area.

"Two local institutions that truly bring this to life for visitors are the Wyndham Westshore Hotel and Tampa International Airport,” says Evan Brownstein Partner/Chief Creative Officer of Bright Monkey Marketing. “As the Wyndham Westshore's marketing agency, we constantly seek engaging ways to bring their "Stay Well, Sleep Well, Be Well" brand to life. That is why we are so enthusiastic about the new media platforms Clear Channel has created at Tampa International. Most importantly, Clear Channel makes it easier to communicate information that will enhance the quality of travelers' visits to Tampa. And they do it in a way that allows us to differentiate our clients' brands. A perfect example of this is the new interactive kiosks that replace the old-fashioned courtesy phones."

Local businesses in the Tampa Bay area can appreciate the large volume of traffic that passes through the airport daily and understand the importance of getting their messages in front of those travelers. Tampa International Airport operations host nearly 17 million annual passengers and handle 175 million pounds of cargo through 59 gates.
