Leisure Systems, Inc. Adds Three New Jellystone Parks

New Camp-Resorts Come to California, North Carolina and Oklahoma

Milford, OH (PRWEB) April 16, 2008

Yogi Bear, one of the world's most famous and beloved cartoon characters, has come to Pine Grove, California; Fletcher, North Carolina; and Eufaula, Oklahoma to share his special brand of family fun and camping adventures. Leisure Systems, Inc. (LSI), franchisor of 73 Yogi Bear Camp-Resorts in the United States and Canada, has added three new parks to its national roster.

"We're thrilled to be expanding the Jellystone Park network to include these three remarkable destinations," said Rob Schutter, LSI President and COO. "While each of these parks brings something unique to the franchise, guests can rest assured knowing that all locations meet the standards held high by Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts."

Pine Grove, California

We've struck gold with Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Pine Grove…literally. In addition to the great amenities one expects from a Jellystone Park - a pool, mini-golf, arcade, planned activities for the entire family, and more - this facility also offers a lot of excitement right outside the gate, including gold mining.

Owners John Tomasello and John D'Arcy saw the potential of this prime real estate, located 50 miles southeast of Sacramento. "This area is surrounded by some wonderful tourist attractions," John Tomasello pointed out. "After meeting with the folks at Leisure Systems, it was clear we could transform our campground into a Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park and be included in that mix."

The Pine Grove Camp-Resort will offer everything from tent and full hook-up sites to lodge and cabin rentals (http://www. campjellystone. com) . The park currently is undergoing complete renovations and has plans in the works for a water playground. "We're looking forward to welcoming families and wowing them with our Yogi Bear brand of fun," Tomasello continued.

Fletcher, North Carolina
This new addition to the Jellystone Park system can be found in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. Named 2006 and 2008 National Small Park of the Year by the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC), the former Rutledge Lake Travel Park offers campers everything from scenic nature trails by day to dancing, strumming and singing by night.

Owners Mike and Sandy Tinsley have always catered to families and enjoy being an annual travel destination for families. "We love to hear that we are part of family traditions. We do everything we can to ensure that each visit to our Jellystone campground will be even better than the one before," Mike Tinsley said. "Joining the Jellystone Park family is our way of continuing to serve our guests. When families return to the park this year, we expect to blow them away with all we have to offer."

In addition to a jam-packed activity schedule, the park also has a heated pool, horseshoes, a basketball court and lake-related activities, such as fishing and canoe and pedal boat rentals, perfect for a family camping (http://www. campjellystone. com/family-fun. html) trip. Campers also can explore nearby attractions like the Smokey Mountain National Park, Cherokee Casinos and the Biltmore House.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Rutledge Lake is open year round.

Eufaula, Oklahoma
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Eufaula is the first of its kind in all of Oklahoma. The newly-constructed facility is located on the shore lines of Eufaula, one of the largest lakes in the region. But when it comes to water, lake views are just the beginning. The campground is located on a peninsula, allowing for all waterfronts sites.

After drinking in the breathtaking scenery, campers will be thrilled with the many water-related activities, including: boat, canoe and wave runner rentals, pedal boats, fishing, a water play area and a swimming pool. Families also can visit the game room, catch a wagon or train ride, play mini-golf or see what's playing at the outdoor theater.

Eufaula Jellystone Park Camp-Resort owner Al Sahli is anxiously awaiting the completed construction of Oklahoma's newest travel destination. "We are so excited to be opening the first Jellystone Park in Oklahoma. I envision this park as being a resource for the community for events, meetings, birthday parties and more," Sahli said. "The Jellystone Park franchise and Yogi Bear theme keep the focus on family, which is exactly what I had in mind for this Camp-Resort."
