CareNow® Announces Flu Shots Arriving Early in 2010 Flu Season

CareNow® Announces Flu Shots Arriving Early in 2010 Flu Season

CareNow® to administer flu shots at all locations this flu season.

Coppell, TX (PRWEB) September 24, 2010

CareNow® locations across the DFW Metroplex are now administering flu shots. The CDC is recommending that people receive their flu shots early this year to avoid any late rushes or shortages for this year’s flu season.

Influenza (also known as the flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by flu viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The flu is different from a cold. The flu usually comes on suddenly.

According to the CDC, Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine as soon as vaccine is available this fall. While flu is unpredictable, it’s likely that the 2009 H1N1 viruses and regular seasonal viruses will cause illness in the U. S. this flu season. The 2010-2011 flu vaccine will protect against three different flu viruses: an H3N2 virus, an influenza B virus and the H1N1 virus that caused so much illness last season.

CareNow® has been providing North Texas with over 16 years of service and now has 22 locations around the DFW area. CareNow® offers family care, urgent care, and physical therapy, occupational medicine, as well as travel medicine. The medical centers are open late seven days a week and accept over 30 insurance plans. All CareNow® locations have qualified physicians on staff and the group is one of the only primary care facilities in Texas to voluntarily pass the rigorous certification requirements of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC).

Jupiter/Saturn Conjunction

Jupiter/Saturn Conjunction

(PRWEB) April 4, 2000

Every twenty years, the cosmic clock strikes a significant note as the planets Jupiter and Saturn come into conjunction. That clock is due to strike again at 16.05 [GMT] on 28th May 2000, when they meet at 23º of Taurus.

These two giants, the most distant planets visible to the naked eye, used to be known as the Great Chronocrators, the rulers of the ages, and their cycle has always been considered of the greatest importance in shaping the course of human history. Since 1842 their repeated conjunctions have occurred in the Earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, a factor to which many astrologers have ascribed our society's increasing materialism and control over the material world.

Jupiter, the largest planet in the Solar System, represents the power of expansion and exploration. It governs all areas of life which expand the human spirit, for example philosophy, religion and education as well as more mundane activities like travel, gambling and material profit. Its influence is to encourage faith, optimism and confidence. The monarchy, the law, churches and charities all come under its domain.

Saturn, on the other hand, represents the opposing influence of constriction and limitation. It crystallises and coagulates and governs all those things that at one and the same time keep us safe and secure whilst also limiting us, institutions like the police, the legal system and the civil service. The function of Saturn is to provide boundaries and keep us rooted to things as they really are.

Their conjunction, which takes place in the earthy sign of Taurus, marks a point of endings and new beginnings - the end of the cycle which began at their last conjunction in 1981 and the sowing of a new seed idea which will develop over the forthcoming twenty years. As the old cycle comes to an end, we can expect an increasing "coming down to earth" influence to prevail as the limitations of "spin" and the glamour of the image are revealed. Unrealistic financial speculations may come down to earth with a bump and crises may erupt wherever we have reneged on our stewardship of the land and its products and lost contact with the way things "really" are. Bedrock matters like food, economic security and the fertility of the land, are going to be crucial issues at this time. We should see important new developments and new legislation in the farming industry, especially in the beef industry - Taurus is the sign of the Bull after all! Issues concerning the countryside, the green belt and genetically modified food may hit the headlines. The financial markets and banking industries must also be affected - for many years low points in the stock market index coincided with the Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions. The limitations of existing practises will become apparent and the new laws made at this time, particularly in so far as they relate to such Jupiterian issues as profits, education, religion and the power of the courts will have far reaching ramifications. It is a time to come down to earth, to plant for the future and face our responsibilities to the land and its fertility fairly and squarely. Fate may well bring a few sobering lessons our way in order to drive this message home perhaps even earthquakes or other natural disasters. As a final note, it's also worth remembering that, for some unaccountable reason, every American President since 1840 who was elected during the year of a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction has died in office - we shall have to wait and see on that one!
