DETROIT (PRWEB) January 11, 2006
If travelers want to get to Tennessee’s Constipation Ridge, they’ll need to take a drive up Farfrompoopin Lane.
Don’t be surprised by what is seen in the mists along New Jersey’s Shades of Death Road. Tired of telling strangers they’ve got the wrong address? Why not name your street This-Ain’t-It Road? America is crisscrossed by roadways with an assortment of wild, weird and wacky names, from Detroit’s Lois Lane to North Dakota’s Smashed-in-Buffalo-Head Road.
The folks at TheCarConnection. com, the Web’s Automotive Authority, have spotted plenty of these roads during their travels, but the site wanted to let readers contribute their own favorites, and as encouragement, TCC has launched the Wild, Weird and Wacky Street Names Contest, which runs now through the end of January.
“We’ve all seen street names that make us laugh hysterically,” said TCC founder and Publisher Paul Eisenstein. “We want to reward our reader’s eye for great street names as well as their sense of humor. And in the end, regardless of what street name gets the crown, the readers are the real winners.”
Details and rules can be found on TheCarConnection. com (http://www. thecarconnection. com/Extras/Contests/TCCs_Wild_Weird_and_Wacky_Street_Names_Contest.
