Romance Awaits at the Trumpeter Inn on San Juan Island
Today, the San Juan Island’s Trumpeter Inn was featured in the national consumer’s magazine Bed & Breakfast America. On February 2, 2006, Coastal Living magazine and CNN selected the Trumpeter Inn as one of the "Top Places to Take Your Sweetheart."
Friday Harbor, WA (PRWEB) March 22, 2006
A romantic getaway is a chance to escape and spend time renewing your love for each other. There is nothing like a country setting, fresh-air activities, and an ocean breeze to set a romantic mood. Comfortable luxuries... peaceful leisure, slices of history, pacific northwest cuisine and, all at one of the best places to take your sweetheart for a romantic bed and breakfast experience: Trumpeter Inn.
The San Juan Islands are a magical place to begin with, all have an abundance of bird species like the Tufted Puffin, Peregrine Falcon and Bald Eagle, as well as Harbor Seals, Porpoises, Sea Lions, Minke and Gray Whales. And, practically all of the species can be viewed in their natural habitats.
Spring offers a unique opportunity for Trumpeter Inn guests to enjoy premier birding around their 5 acre San Juan Island pastoral estate, designated an official Backyard Wildlife Sanctuary. Hold hands as you stroll around the perimeter of the grounds and enjoy viewing llamas along with the soothing sounds of the country.
And if you’ve ever longed to watch Orcas in their natural habitat, San Juan Island, Washington is the place to be -- from May through September, close to 90 orcas call the waters of Haro Strait, on the island's west side, home.
When innkeepers Cheryl and Larry Hoppe began operating the Trumpeter Inn back in October of 2005, they had no idea they’d receive so much national exposure. “National exposure had never occurred to us to be a part of owning a B&B,” said Cheryl Hoppe. “After many years of searching to find an inn that suited our needs, the Trumpeter Inn became available at the right time in our lives. Larry had retired from the aluminum business and we were then able to pursue my goal [to become an innkeeper].” The Trumpeter Inn was perfect for the couple. It had a “separate owner's cottage and acreage so our llama family could move with us. This wonderful exposure is the most decadent of whipped cream toppings.”
The Trumpeter Inn is a wonderful example of a top-of-the-line bed and breakfast inn. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. Guests especially enjoy the hot tub -- which is hidden in it's own little garden. This premier establishment, located only 1 ½ miles from the picturesque town of Friday Harbor, offers the perfect blend of casual elegance and traditional French country. Amenities even include an on-site massage studio.
The inn is situated amongst the rolling hills of the fertile San Juan Valley and is surrounded by ponds, meadows and pristine marshlands, abundant with wildlife. Outdoor activities waiting for you to enjoy include:
Visiting the Museums
Visiting the Parks
Walking & Exploring
CNN and Coastal Living say: “Peaceful and rustic, this cluster of islands north of Seattle also packs a lot of surprises. For one thing, the sun shines much more often than the Pacific Northwest norm. Visitors know about such nature-based attractions as whale-watching, bicycling and kayaking.” To read the entire article go to: http://www. cnn. com/2006/TRAVEL/DESTINATIONS/02/02/romantic. places/index. html (http://www. cnn. com/2006/TRAVEL/DESTINATIONS/02/02/romantic. places/index. html)
