The Late Governor Frank B. MorrisonÂs 100th Birthday Celebration has Arrived

ItÂs time to celebrate. On Saturday, July 9, 2005 the 100th Birthday Celebration for the late Governor Frank B. Morrison will take place at the Archway Monument (3060 East 1st Street, Kearney, NE).
Congressman Tom Osborne, serving as Honorary Chair, will be joined by Senator Ben Nelson and Governor Charles Thone to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Governor Morrison.
The celebration will also include the presentation of the First Annual Frank B. Morrison Pioneer Spirit Award to Ron Hull of Lincoln, Nebraska. The children of Governor Morrison established the award to be given annually to a resident of Nebraska that has devoted his or her life to serving others.
Entertainment will be provided by the Voices of Kearney under the direction of C. J. Sabah. The group of vocal artists will perform renditions of ÂAmerica the BeautifulÂ, ÂHome on the RangeÂ and ÂBattle Hymn of the RepublicÂ.
The night will begin at 6:00 p. m. with a silent auction. All proceeds from the event will benefit the establishment of the Frank B. Morrison Educational Center at the Archway Monument.
