Trans-Exec Air Service, the worldÂs most exclusive private jet service, is giving some of the best chefs in Southern California the chance to show-off their culinary talents in a most unusual place aboard a luxury Gulfstream jet, traveling at 600 MPH at 45,000 feet up in the sky.
Trans-ExecÂs Executive Chef program invites one chef a month to prepare a special signature dish. Noted chefs from some of the best restaurants in Los Angeles are thrilled to get the call, as it gives them an opportunity to be creative and impress some of the most influential people in the world. The only conditions are, the meal must be able to be prepared in the relatively small galley onboard the private jet, and only fresh ingredients may be used with no reheating of previously made dishes.
Recently, Suzanne Tracht, executive chef and co-owner of one of The Jar, was onboard preparing fresh lobster cocktails with smoked tomato broth and green mango, followed by a rib-eye beef drizzled with green peppercorn sauce, accompanied by sautéed pea tendrils and roasted asparagus.
To accompany the meal, Suzanne chose from Trans-ExecÂs extensive wine cellar. These are the only private jets in the world that are stocked with rare and exceptional vintages, including many bottles that would sell from $5,000 to $10,000 each.
Trans-Exec president, David Bilson, said that the Executive Chef Program is just another of the perks that his company routinely provides. ÂAfter enjoying a gourmet meal that is on par with any 5-star restaurant, our passengers can then enjoy complementary spa treatments, including massages, facials and skin treatments. ItÂs no wonder that thereÂs a waiting list to join the exclusive program.
