Turtle Beach Offers Two New Noise Reduction Headphones
New models address youth/active lifestyle and business travel markets.
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 1, 2006
Turtle Beach, makers of high quality audio peripherals for more than 30 years, today unveiled two models of active noise reduction headphones, the ANR-10 and ANR-20, with micro-electronic sensors that provide an escape from outside distractions when listening to portable entertainment devices in noisy environments.
With sleek, behind-the-neck styling, the ANR-10s provide great sound and are designed to stay in place during physical activities such as jogging or working out at the gym. The ANR-20s have a conventional over-the-head design that is popular with business travelers and offer sound quality that rivals headphones from better-known competitors at a fraction of the cost. Both models have convenient folding designs for easy portability.
“A main goal we had for these noise reduction headphones was that they provide users with a more pleasurable listening experience in loud places like airplanes, trains, or even crowded rooms,” said Seth Dotterer, Director of Marketing, Turtle Beach. “Using these headphones puts less strain on the ears, as you don’t need to raise the volume to drown out background noise.”
All noise reduction circuitry and batteries are contained in the ANR-10 and ANR-20 headphones themselves, eliminating the need for a bulky control box dangling from the cord to the audio source. Padded earcups, and an adjustable headband (ANR-20), enable hours of comfortable wear. Unlike many noise reduction headphones on the market, both of these models provide the highest level of fidelity even when the noise reduction is not activated.
When choosing to relax while not listening to an audio source, the active noise reduction headphones can still be used to block out ambient noise. In fact, the cord that connects the ANR-20 to audio sources can actually be detached for this purpose. Both models are sold with a draw-string carrying bag.
The Turtle Beach ANR-10s and ANR-20s work with any A/V source compatible with a 1/8-inch input jack, including MP3 players, iPods ®, radios, CD and portable DVD players.
