Insider Perks Completes 45 Day Filming Trip To Acquire New Content

Covering more than 7,000 miles in 13 states and 21 cities, Insider Perks has completed a 45 day filming trip that will more than double the video content available to its visitors.

Insider Perks, the world's first website dedicated to professional unbiased travel video, today announced the completion of its most ambitious filming trip to date that will more than double the travel content available on its website.

Spanning over 7,000 miles in 13 states and 21 different cities across the United States, Insider Perks filmed over 100 tourism attractions, hotels and restaurants during a 45 day period that began in Pittsburgh, PA. The journey went east through Philadelphia and New York City for the first leg and wrapped back around to Chicago, IL to start the second, finishing in Gatlinburg, TN.

Throughout the trip, dozens of unique places were filmed including a restaurant in New York City that immerses you into the world of ninjas, a budget hotel in Iowa fashioned as an old English castle, a park in Nebraska that features authentic nuclear missiles, subs and battleships as well as a ghost tour of one of the most haunted small towns in America.

When the travel videos are edited and online in the first quarter of 2011, visitors to the website will be able to experience places like Graceland, The World of Coca-Cola, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, The Gore Psychiatric Museum and much more from the comfort of their own living rooms. In addition to the 2,000 videos already available, they will give consumers an in-depth look at their potential vacation destinations before they book their next vacation.

To be able to see inside one of these places before you commit to a purchase is just fascinating."

In addition to the new content acquired during this journey, Insider Perks is also working to complete a new website design that will largely eliminate the use of Flash and move toward HTML5. This will allow the entire collection of travel videos to be viewed across all platforms including the iPhone and iPad.
