Blackwater USA today announced the formation of the Blackwater Parachute Team (BWPT), which will compete internationally and demonstrate the latest parachuting techniques and technologies.

Comprised of both current and former World Champions and World Record Holders in Formation Skydiving and Canopy Formation parachuting, the five members of the BWPT have over 36,000 parachute jumps among them. This makes them the most experienced parachute demonstration team in the world.

Each member of the team was chosen based on individual talent, professional accomplishments, and the ability to travel internationally while increasing public awareness of Blackwater and it's worldwide commitment to freedom and democracy everywhere.

The BWPT has two prior military members that served tours respectively on the United States Army Parachute Team (Golden Knights) and the United States Navy Parachute Team (Leap Frogs).

The team’s first performance will be for the Opening Ceremony at the Special Operations Forces Exhibition (SOFEX) in Amman, Jordan at the King Abdullah I air base on March 27, 2006. The team’s next performance will be at the Virginia Gold Cup in Middleburg, VA on May 06, 2006.

Based at the Blackwater Training Center in Moyock, North Carolina, the BWPT will:

  •  Perform live aerial demonstrations for the public,
  •  Further educate the public about Blackwater and its mission and encourage young Americans to explore careers in the armed forces, particularly in special operations,
  •  Compete in national and international parachuting competitions, and
  •  Test and evaluate new parachuting equipment and techniques for improved operation and safety for specialized customers.

Confused. com, the UK's number one leading car insurance comparison site, can reveal that drivers with penalty points on their licence will pay up to 60% - or £370 - more for their car insurance than those with a clean licence.

Recent Confused. com research shows that young drivers are significantly penalised for receiving points on their licences. For example, a 21-year-old female from Manchester, driving a 1.3 Ford Fiesta would suffer a 92% increase - or £895 difference - in her car insurance (http://www. confused. com) premium as a result of receiving six penalty points on her licence. Worse than this, nine penalty points would mean a 210% increase - or £2048.

Interestingly women in their fifties face higher premiums than their male counterparts when hit with penalty points. While a 55 year old man from Bristol driving a 3.0 litre BMW MX5 would see a 49% increase after receiving six points on his licence, a woman with the same credentials faces a whopping 81% rise in her car insurance (http://www. confused. com) premium.

Fagan's Floral Ring collection features a series of hand-crafted, sterling silver "blooms." Each one created to look like a flower in her garden. Fagan will also featuring several new silver delicate loops and pearl-beaded collections that feature darker stones such has garnets and smokey topaz.
