West Point, GA (PRWEB) March 7, 2008

George Williams has spent most of his life in sales, and is now taking the next step onto the Internet with www. OleTownGifts. com. Combined with his new blog, he is continuing his dedication to customer service and quality merchandise.

"I grew up on a 500 acre farm, and my grandparents had a country store. I learned to count by making change," says George Williams, who recently opened a web store at www. OleTownGifts. com. "By 7 I was pumping gas for people, and by 9 I was patching tires. I don't remember a time when I haven't been associated with business."

With over 20 years of sales experience, George has represented companies throughout the northeast in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Connecticut, and the surrounding states, traveling and selling out of catalogs. "This business is basically online catalog sales," says George, who fell quite naturally into the role of Internet shopkeeper. "I've got over 30,000 products in my line. Mainly what I wanted was to have something for everybody; I wanted to have a line of products where anyone in any economic situation can go in and find something."

George wants to connect with his customers and build their confidence in the store, which is why he opened a blog at www. OleTownGifts. net to better communicate with his customers and give them the opportunity to talk back. "If you look at the web site name, it's Ole Town Gifts, with 'Ole' as in the old ways," says George. "I'm old school. I grew up where customer satisfaction was key to any business, and it's still the main object of my business. I'm not out to get one customer one time -- I want them to keep coming back to me. Of course, growing up at a country store, eventually all of our customers became friends; that's what I' d like here."

George's blog will also detail his social programs. "One of the first things I've done is begin a fundraising program for a high school," he explains, going over the process. "I have a fundraising department, and I'll be continually doing fundraisers. We provide 50% of the proceeds to the school. We're open to doing more fundraisers for any organization."

As for the competition, George isn't worried. "I've worked for a number of companies, and they all push for growth. If they're #3, they want to be #2, and if they're #2, they want to be #1." Says George, "I don't worry about my competition; I don't want to be the biggest, I want to be the best. We're a new company with old-fashioned ideas. Honor, grace, and dignity aren't just words here, but an attitude. Our reward is the joy our customers receive in giving and receiving the products we provide."
