Budco Earns a Trio of Creative Awards at the DMAD Target Awards 2009

Building on it's success during last year's DMAD Target Awards, Budco took it up a notch scoring three First Place awards at this year's event held May 12, 2009, at Detroit's Historic Gem Theatre.

Building on it's success during last year's DMAD Target Awards, Budco took it up a notch scoring three First Place awards at this year's event held May 12, 2009, at Detroit's Historic Gem Theatre. The First Place awards represent Budco's work for General Motors, St. John Health System and Ford Motor Company. Specific awards included:

  • First Place Target Award for Budco's GM NAV DISC Direct Marketing campaign, which included both direct mail and online elements, which drove sales of the navigation systems update DVDs.
  • First Place Target Award for Budco's St. John Health System clients in an effective direct mail piece dealing with mammography entitled: "Afraid of Tests?" This educational and interactive initiative resulted in an increase in Web site traffic, as well as increased visits to St. John Health System's mammography centers.
  • First Place Target Award for Budco's efforts marketing Ford Motor Company's Extended Service Plan (ESP), featuring an information rich direct marketing mailer. This campaign was extremely effective in driving response rates and overall margin. New targeting and segmentation techniques yielded a 28% increase in response rates.

For this year's entries, Budco's account and creative groups included creative support from Thom Gulock, Heather Juneau, Mark Beltaire, Mike Bell and Gregg Madzia. Account and Client Service leadership came from Alicia Roberts, Claudia Vala and Gregg Madzia.
