Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) January 1, 2006

The Almeda Bed and Breakfast has just completed a significant investment in upgrading its accommodation facilities in Limerick Ireland.

The investment has created one of the most attractive accommodation facilities in the Limerick region a major part of which will be to tap into the high demand for quality yet affordable accommodation amongst visitors to Ireland.

The ambitious B&B development programme was announced at a press conference in Limerick today. Behind the project is owner and operartor, Marie Storan.

Ms Storan stated: " The marketing needs of Irish tourism are continuously changing as the international tourism market evolves. Local accommodation providers need to work to maximum potential and in partnership with Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland and the industry as a whole, to effectively communicate to our key markets the compelling reasons to visit and benefit from what Irish tourism and particularly local bed and breakfast has to offer."

Tourism is a vital part of Ireland’s economy, and it is essential that the correct supports and structures are in place at every level, to support this most important of indigenous industries,” she continued.

She also said that further developments were planned as part of a program of continuous improvement in response to client feedback. She sited recent research amongst consumers in the British market, undertaken by Tourism Ireland, as proof that action needs to be taken to continuously address the concerns of visitors in relation to pricing and quality accommodation.

“I have worked in the accommodation sector for many years and have built a brand that meets the criteria of offering value for money bandb accommodation and giving a good quality experience to visitors to Limerick. This approach has certainly paid off for us and I believe in our small way we have helped in the drive to make Ireland, and Limerick in particular, a premier visitor destination."

Marie and her staff are looking forward to strengthening the position of Almeda B&B in Limerick and to growing their business from tourists and business people coming to Ireland who want the comfort and security of staying with a professionally run business but who also want first class local services and quality.
